The United States Association of Modern Pentathlon has the pleasure to invite a delegation of your country to participate in the NORCECA Youth A & B Open Championships that is going to be held in Cleveland, Ohio, USA on November 1st, 2008 according to the following programme:
October 31 Arrival of Delegations
1900h: Technical Meeting
November 1 Individual Competition
Shoot-Fence-Swim-Run
Award Ceremony and Dinner
November 2 Departure of Delegations
ECONOMICAL CONDITIONS
Accreditation Fee
The accreditation fee will be $90 USD and will include the competition fees, transportation, and meals on November 1.

A block of rooms has been held under USA Pentathlon until October 15 at a group rate of $109 USD (plus tax) per room per night. Participants are encouraged to make their own reservations. If any federations wish the local organizing committee to reserve the rooms for their delegation this can be done at your request. Please send in your Form C as soon as possible so we may accommodate you.
RULES
The competition will be carried out according to the UIPM Rules.
Shooting: 20 lane shooting range, CO2 and compressed air will be available
Swimming: 25 yard indoor swimming pool / 8 lanes (conversion table to 25 meters will used for scoring purposes)
Fencing: 9 pistes
Running Surface: asphalt/grass
ATHLETES' LICENSES
Athletes are only allowed to participate in UIPM sanctioned events if they are in possession of a valid UIPM issued Athletes License. Athletes must bring their License with them to the competition to be entered. Entry Forms will not be accepted if any athlete is missing his/her License Number. Please contact immediately UIPM Headquarters if your athlete is missing his/her License. If an athlete forgets their License, they must pay a fine of 50 Euros to the UIPM Technical Delegate and this fine remains the property of UIPM.
TRAINING
The LOC will offer training facilities for fencing and running. Limited times for swimming.
EQUIPMENT CONTROL
The equipment control for fencing and shooting will be at the Clarion Hotel on October 31 from 1700-1900h and from 2000-2100h.
TRANSPORTATION PLAN
Delegations should arrange their flights to the Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport (CLE) in Cleveland, Ohio. Please note that the technical meeting is Friday evening, October 31 at 1900h. Transportation details from the airport to the competition hotel will be forwarded to all participants upon registration. Transportation from the official hotel to the venue for athletes will be according to the competition programme.
VISAS & VACCINATIONS
Visiting nations should confirm visa and vaccination requirements for entry into the United States prior travelling to the event. The LOC cannot accept responsibility for arranging visas but can provide specific letters of invitation if needed. For information if you need a visa or vaccinations please contact your nearest Embassy or Consulate.
INSURANCE
All members of the attending Delegations must insure themselves in case of accidental injury or illness. The organiser will not accept any responsibility financial or otherwise for loss, injury or illness of any Delegation member.
FIREARMS
Firearms Licenses are not a legal requirement when bringing air and CO2 pistols into the USA for competition purposes.
GENERAL INFORMATION
All athletes are kindly requested to wear their official national uniform at the competition. Please also bring a CD of your national anthem and a national flag.
